Education

In 1985, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biophysics with 2A Honors. I completed my Ph.D. in Biophysical Chemistry in 1999 at the Australian National University.

Experience

I have five years of tutoring experience. I set up my own tutoring company. I have taught mathematics, physics, and chemistry to students in years 11 and 12, as well as taught first-year physics and chemistry to students in South Australia. I have also assisted students in preparing for the GAMSAT by reviewing Physical and Chemical Sciences. I am a semi-retired academic who has co-authored and researched over 80 journal and conference papers. I have been published in the Philippine Journal of Science. I was the secretary for the Australian Society of Biophysics for five years. I spent 15 years as the question leader on the Australian ABC Science Site Dr. Karl's Self Service Science Forum. I captained a champion team for the Australian Capital Territory Science Quiz Night three times.
